"The Endangered Queen of the Eucalypts" Original Painting by Elspeth McLean
This is an original painting by Elspeth McLean titled "The Endangered Queen of the Eucalypts"
Red tailed black cockatoos are one of Elspeth’s favorite Australian bird. Sadly they are an endangered species. You often hear one of these creatures before you see them- with their loud raspy parrot like call. Seeing one in flight- the flash of its stunning red tail feathers is a sacred experience. This piece was part of the famous “Sooke Fine Art Show” in 2019.
*Please note- It was temporarily put in an exhibition frame so there are 4 small holes in the back (pictured) from the screws used to hold it in place. This does not affect the painting or structure of the canvas but this piece has been discounted accordingly.
